Dear Heavenly Father, I thank and praise You for the gift of all human life. I am most especially grateful for the new life within my womb—the unborn child forming deep within me.
Through the prayers of Mary, Mother of Jesus, and our Mother as well, I beg You to watch over and protect this little one inside my womb. You have infused a beautiful and precious soul in my unborn child, a soul that in Your eyes, O God, is more valuable than the entire universe! Please pour forth the Precious Blood of your Son over my child for protection and peace.
Dear Mother Mary, for nine months you carried Jesus in your virginal womb. You know the doubts, the fears, the difficulties I face as an expectant mother. You overcame fear by a loving trust in God; you overcame doubt by a serene acceptance of His Will. Please guard and nurture with your maternal care my unborn child, and help me to bring him/her to the light of day and the grace of Baptism.
Dear God, in due time may my child come to know the love and peace of Your presence in the safety and comfort of a happy home. May this little one grow to become all You dreamed for him/her to be in Your creation. This I ask in Jesus's name and for His sake. Amen.
Thanksgiving for Conceiving
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You from the bottom of my heart for allowing my husband and me to conceive a new life! I rejoice in this precious gift, O Lord. You are the Father of all life, and all good gifts come to us from You, especially the gift of human life, the gift of another soul created to share eternity with You.
Dear Mother Mary, thank you for hearing and blessing my petition! Please bring my gratitude to our Heavenly Father, who has shown His power and glory within me by creating another human soul to be cared for, nurtured, and loved.
In like manner, O Mother, bring my gratitude to your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, Who has revealed His eternal wisdom inside me by fashioning in silence a soul destined to live forever.
Holy Mother of God, share my grateful heart with the Holy Spirit for magnifying His everlasting love in me in forming another human life. May His breath of life fill my child in preparation for the Sacrament of Baptism yet to come.
Dear Mother Mary, you have obtained this wonderful grace for me by your intercession. Please accept my sincere thanks and gratitude. Please join your prayer to mine and bring them both before the Lord of all Life. Amen.
